About This Piece

Some knives are designed around materials. Others are designed around a purpose. Every now and then, a knife comes together around a feeling.

The Antler Crown Persian Hunter is one of those pieces.

Forged from high carbon steel, the blade features a sweeping Persian-inspired profile that gives the knife its distinctive character. The graceful curve of the edge creates an elegant silhouette while providing exceptional slicing performance. With its flowing lines and pronounced belly, the blade feels equally at home in the field, around camp, or displayed as part of a collection.

A hand-engraved copper bolster creates a warm transition between blade and handle, adding both visual interest and traditional craftsmanship to the design. The copper's natural tones complement the organic materials throughout the knife and reinforce its rugged, timeless appearance.

The handle combines richly figured Bacote wood with a natural antler crown. Rather than shaping away the unique character of the antler, the crown has been preserved, allowing the knife to retain the natural form and texture that make every piece unique. The result is a handle that feels connected to the outdoors and reflects the individuality of the materials from which it was crafted.

The warm grain of the Bacote wood pairs beautifully with the antler, creating a balance between refinement and rustic character. Together, the materials give the knife a distinctive appearance that feels both traditional and enduring.

Paired with a handcrafted leather sheath, this knife reflects the spirit of classic hunting and camp knives while carrying the unmistakable signature of handmade craftsmanship.

Maker's Note:

Some materials tell you what they want to become. The antler crown was too unique to cut away, so I chose to let it remain part of the design. The result is a knife that feels connected to the outdoors and reminds me that nature often provides the best finishing touch.
