About This Piece
Some knives mark a moment.
This handcrafted hunter was created as a Christmas gift for KC—his very first knife. Built with the same attention to detail and craftsmanship found throughout Jeff's work, the knife combines practical function with materials chosen to create something truly memorable.
The blade is forged from high carbon steel, offering excellent edge retention and dependable performance in a compact, easy-to-carry package. With a 3-inch blade, the knife provides excellent control while remaining comfortable for everyday use.
The handle is crafted from Black Maple Hybrid material, producing dramatic patterns and color variations throughout the piece. Rich earth tones, dark contrasts, and organic movement give the handle a unique appearance that ensures no two knives could ever be exactly alike.
A hand-engraved bolster provides a refined transition between blade and handle, while a decorative mosaic pin adds another custom touch. Along the spine, detailed hand filework showcases the craftsmanship that collectors and customers have come to recognize as a signature feature of Jeff's knives.
Compact, comfortable, and built to last, this knife represents more than a tool. It marks the beginning of a journey and the passing of a tradition from one generation to the next.

Maker's Note:
I found a piece of Black Maple Hybrid material that immediately caught my eye and knew it would make a special knife. Since KC had never owned a knife before, it felt like the right opportunity to build something that could become both a useful tool and a lasting memory.
