About This Piece
Every craftsman has a favorite tool.
Not necessarily the most expensive one. Not the newest one. The one that simply works every time it is needed.
This handcrafted Damascus knife has earned that place in Jeff's own workshop.
Designed as a compact utility knife, it spends its days cutting leather, trimming materials, shaping sheath components, and handling countless small tasks around the forge and workbench. Built for daily use rather than display, it has become one of the most frequently reached-for tools in the shop.
The blade is forged from Damascus steel, displaying the flowing layered patterns that make every piece unique. Its compact profile provides excellent control for detailed work while maintaining the strength and durability expected from a working knife.
The handle combines warm walnut with a natural antler cap, creating a blend of materials that feels both traditional and practical. Nickel silver and leather spacers provide subtle contrast between the components while adding visual depth to the overall design. A white liner further highlights the transitions and craftsmanship throughout the handle assembly.
Along the spine, detailed hand filework showcases the attention devoted to every part of the knife. Visible from above and appreciated in hand, the filework transforms a functional feature into a signature element of the build.
Though originally intended as a working knife, years of daily use have proven that the best tools are often the simplest. Comfortable, dependable, and built to perform, this knife remains a constant companion in the workshop.
