About This Piece

A knife doesn't have to be large to be useful.

Designed around everyday carry and practical use, this handcrafted Damascus hunter combines the strength of a fixed blade with a custom pocket sheath designed to keep the knife secure, upright, and readily accessible.

The blade is forged from Damascus steel, displaying the flowing layered patterns that make every piece unique. Compact in size yet capable of handling daily cutting tasks, the blade offers excellent control and convenience without sacrificing performance.

The handle is crafted from black Micarta, a material known for its durability, stability, and comfortable grip. Its understated appearance allows the Damascus blade and custom details to take center stage while providing the reliability expected from a working knife.

A decorative mosaic pin featuring an anvil and flame design serves as a tribute to the craft of bladesmithing and adds a distinctive custom touch to the handle. Along the spine, detailed hand filework showcases the extra attention invested in every stage of the build and continues a signature element found throughout Jeff's work.

The custom leather pocket sheath is designed specifically to ride inside a pocket, holding the knife upright and in the same position every time. The result is a fixed blade that carries comfortably and remains immediately accessible when needed.

Compact, dependable, and purpose-built, this knife reflects the philosophy that good tools should be both functional and enjoyable to carry.

Maker's Note:

I wanted the convenience of a pocket knife while keeping the strength and simplicity of a fixed blade. The custom pocket sheath became just as important as the knife itself, creating a carry system that keeps the blade secure, accessible, and ready for daily use.
